Do your part to reduce and reuse in a world increasingly overrun by plastic waste.
Enough plastic is thrown away each year to circle the earth four times. While recycling helps reduce this waste, we currently recover only 5% of the plastics we reduce.
On top of that, only 1% of the 4 to 5 trillion plastic bags produced each year are returned for recycling. The rest end up in landfills, or- worse – in the ocean, where they can have disastrous impacts on marine life.
What can I do to help?
Reusable produce bags are the next logical step in reducing plastic waste.
They’re machine-washable, portable, and can eliminate thousands of plastic bags in their lifetime. The breathable, lightweight material of these bags makes the food inside last longer, reducing food waste.
These produce bags are made by VAVA, a non-profit organization supporting victims of Agent Orange throughout Vietnam.
